Role
Technical project management in building construction, acting as an interface to the business units Investment, Finance and Sales with responsibility for overall project coordination and supervision
Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager assumes overall responsibility for the management of Primus construction projects, combining technical and commercial accountability with coordination, quality assurance and the professional leadership of external contractors in line with the company’s objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Independent responsibility for the planning, coordination and supervision of construction projects
- Preparation and support of tendering processes as well as negotiation and execution of contract awards
- Contract management, including drafting and administration of construction contracts and general contractor agreements depending on the respective procurement strategy
- Leadership and coordination of all relevant project stakeholders during the execution phase, including project controllers, site managers, architects, specialist engineers, consultants and executing companies
- Monitoring construction execution in compliance with contractual and legal requirements, including plausibility checks of progress reports from all executing parties
- Active management of risks, variations and claims to ensure smooth and successful project delivery
- Responsibility for project controlling to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and quality targets
- Communication with public authorities, political representatives and neighboring stakeholders
- Risk analysis and risk management throughout the construction phase
- Contribution to internal and external reporting processes

Qualifications
- Completed degree in civil engineering, architecture or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in construction project management or as a project manager in turnkey building construction
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (VOB/B, VOB/C, HOAI, German Building Code and State Building Regulations)
- Proven ability to successfully manage complex construction projects
