Primus builds over 200 rental apartments in Berlin Marzahn-Hellersdorf

Vacant commercial site to be developed into residential space

Land acquisition for the eighth "arrive" location

Primus Immobilien AG has acquired a plot of land at Cecilienplatz 10 and 12 in Berlin Marzahn-Hellersdorf. On the previously unused site, the company will develop over 200 rental apartments with approximately 13,000 m² GFA. Development plans for the plot had existed in the past but were never realised. With this acquisition, Primus lays the foundation for its own residential development at this location. The new project grows the company's pipeline to over 2,800 rental apartments.

On the approximately 5,000 square metre plot, over 200 apartments will be created alongside commercial space, including a grocery store on the ground floor and complementary local amenities. The site currently still contains the ruins of a former shopping centre. The project is located directly at Kaulsdorf Nord underground station, connecting future residents to the heart of Friedrichshain in under 20 minutes and to Alexanderplatz in 25 minutes.

Primus is taking on the implementation of this long-planned construction project at short notice and is creating new housing that will be accessible to a broad section of the population. The project is part of Primus's rental housing portfolio, which focuses on inner-city residential concepts with an emphasis on community, sustainability and digital infrastructure. Plans include shared spaces such as a fitness room for residents as well as landscaped outdoor areas. A rooftop terrace is also planned for the Cecilienplatz location.

In addition to the project in Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Primus is planning further "arrive" locations in Berlin, including in Pankow, Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg and Westend. Construction has already begun in Pankow and Westend.
